1st grade Palo Santo from Peru

Four to five inch, imported from Peru. Also known as Holy Wood, Palo Santo helps clear negative energy. The high resin content of the wood is believed to have purifying properties when it's burned, It was traditionally used to clear negative energy and purify spaces, people, and objects.

The village in Peru we import the Palo Santo from only procures its wood from naturally fallen trees at the end of their lifespan. Our Palo Santo NEVER derives from trees that are carelessly cut down.

Burning PALO SANTO is a ritual known as smudging. It has a lovely sweet, musky citrus scent that helps increase spiritual awareness. 

Palo Santo "Holy Wood" is a tree that's native of Peru, and other South American countries, It was used for centuries by the incas and other indigenous cultures as a spiritual remedy. Palo Santo is good for purifying, cleansing, and to get rid of bad spirits, provides spiritual protection and brings good luck!

Similar to Sage and Cedar, Palo Santo is most widely used for spiritual purification and energy (house) cleansing.  Once the wood sticks are burned, the smoke is believed to clear negative energy and restore tranquility and calm emotions.

Burning Palo Santo wood creates an uplifting, pleasant, fresh smoke that works miracles in keeping away mosquitoes and other insects. It is said that the smell enhances creativity.

Burn a stick of Palo Santo before meditating as it really helps to get relaxed and connected to ourselves. The lovely earthy, sweet and citrusy smell literally changes the energy inside any room.

 HOW TO USE

We recommend you use a candle to ignite your stick of Palo Santo.  Hold it at about a 45-degree angle and point the tip down toward the flame of your candle.  

Allow the stick to burn for about 30 secs, then blow it out. A stream of smoke will rise from the embers and spread into the environment. You can hold it in your hand or place the stick on an incense holder. 

Smudging can be performed at home, starting at the front door, and moving around the house from there. With a specific intention in mind (often to clear your home from negative energy), focus on every room’s corners where energy tends to be stagnant.
